作品説明：私は中学生の頃、部活で使っていた譜面や、社会のノートの日付の下、家庭科室の机、友達への手紙など、色々なところにひつじを描いていた。使っていた筆箱も、スクールバックのキーホルダーも、ひつじだった。それから10年後、仕事を始めた私は戸惑いの時期に入り、朝の仕事前と夜の仕事終わり、油絵の具でひつじを描いて、そのひつじには生贄として私の代わりに死んでもらっていた。この絵を描いたのは、夜、高校生だった頃に出会った友人が私の家にくるはずの時間だった。友人は残業で、４時間くらい遅れた。私はその友人を待っている間にDVDを流しながら三つの絵を描いた。「simple men」「雷から仲間を守るひつじ」「sheeple」。英辞郎によると、”従順で自分の意見がなく大勢に従う人々”をsheepleというらしい。
